Formulations taken from a time when artists relied on natural materials; we created a watercolor with exceptional amounts of pigment in an old fashioned binding medium of pure gum arabic and natural blackberry honey. The result is watercolor of extraordinary strength that is easily diluted for smooth, controlled washes and deeper "darks". Alive with strength and intensity, watercolor made with honey absorbs moisture from the air, preventing hardening on the palette or in the tube.

MaimeriBlu superior watercolors are formulated exclusively with high quality ingredients with the maximum degree of lightfastness, and with gum-arabic from Kordofan, a Sudan region reputed for the best quality product. Each shade features a high concentration of pigment. 52 of the 72 colors use a single pigment to ensure maximum purity, enhancing the brightness and resonance of the color. The colors can all be mixed together.

Cotman Water Colours are a range of water colours that are made to our normal high quality standards but costs are kept to an economical level by replacing some of the more costly pigments with less expensive alternatives. The range consists of 40 colours in tubes which posses good transparency, excellent tiniting strength and good working properties. There are also a number of excellent water colours sets available in the Cotman range.
